Discovery of Oil
In 2015, Exxon-Mobil discovered oil offshore of Guyana. From the first discovery through October 2021, more discoveries were made bringing the total estimated reserves to 10 billion oil-equivalent barrels. Exxon-Mobil and other companies plan more exploration.
These large oil discoveries have not only created opportunities for local companies in the oil and gas value chain, but also in other sectors as government spending will greatly increase in the coming years. Construction, particularly for national infrastructure, will be a major growth industry for the next two decades. As such, Blackrock Development is preparing for the opportunities ahead.
To be vertically integrated with quality construction and support sustainable and environmentally sound infrastructural development while ensuring the health, safety and welfare of all employees and stakeholders.
